The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf- newly certified in Brooklyn, NY

August 25, 2020 from the Star-K

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at 5 Greene Ave, Brooklyn,NY is certied as kosher, Chalav Stam by the Star-D Kosher supervision.

Kashrut alert - The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

May 21, 2020 from Kosher LA

"Dear Kosher LA Patrons,
As you know, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has decided to change course from being exclusively Kosher.
As of June 8th, 2020, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf stores will no longer be under Kosher LA supervision, and therefore we cannot certify as Kosher any of the hand-crafted beverages, food items, etc."

May 18, 2020 from KSA Kosher and Kosherquest and Coffee & Tea Leaf:

The KSA has previously extended our kosher certification only to packaged coffee and tea products sold at "Coffee Bean" ONLY WHEN IN ORIGINAL SEALED PACKAGING, BEARING OUR KSA SYMBOL. This remains true. Any such products being presented for sale bearing our symbol is certified as kosher.

From Rabbi Eidlitz: "there will no longer be kosher supervision on in-store made drinks. As such, I would not recommend any flavored drinks or other items that would require kosher supervision in Coffee Bean stores." From The Forward:

"The non-kosher food options will begin appearing in Coffee Bean display cases on June 8."
"Multiple petitions to keep Coffee Bean kosher were launched on Change.org, one of which drew 5,000 signatures within 24 hours of its creation."
