There have been changes in the kosher status of some products at Starbucks, please make sure to check each product’s certification before purchasing. The CRC published new kosher guidelines for Starbucks at the following link: Starbucks Beverage List-23 (crckosher.org)

August 8, 2023 from the FDA:
David Oppenheimer and Company I LLC is voluntarily recalling from the market all one-pound clamshells of organic green kiwifruit described below because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The recalled organic green kiwifruit is grown in New Zealand, exported to North America and repacked locally for sale in one-pound clear plastic clamshells bearing the Zespri brand and UPC code 8 18849 02009 3, containing fruit stickered with the GTIN bar code 9400 9552.
The organic green kiwifruit subject to the voluntary recall was shipped between June 14, 2023 and July 7, 2023, and sold in clamshells at retail locations in FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MI, NC, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, and WI. Zespri organic green kiwifruit sold in other states is NOT subject to this recall.
Zespri organic green kiwifruit shipped after August 7, 2023 in one-pound plastic clamshells with a WHITE STICKER that includes Work Order (WO) number and Packed on date is NOT affected by this recall. See example of white sticker below:

January 13, 2020 from the OU confirming a posting on Facebook:
Kirkland Chocolate Chips in the white pouch which is being phased out is DE. New Kirkland Chocolate Chips in the red pouch contain milk fat and are dairy.
August 7, 2023 from the Star-K in response to a question from the editor:
Joy Sugar Cones with a Star-D are DE.
May 9, 2019: from the Star-K:
Please be advised that with the introduction of dairy products on their pareve lines, some Joy Cone products are now certified STAR-D Dairy and will be labeled STAR-D.
The STAR-D Dairy symbol appearing on the labels of: Sugar Cones, Waffle Cones, Waffle Bowls and Pretzel Cones, is an indication that they were produced on Dairy Non-Cholov Yisroel equipment. The formulas for these products have not changed.
Joy brand Cake Cones and Gluten Free Cake Cones will remain STAR-K certified Pareve.
Please check each product carefully to confirm its status.
Ed. note: Joy Cone products with a Star-D symbol are produced on dairy equipment.
July 26, 2023 - From the COR Detroit with additional information from the OU::
S. ROSEN'S DELI STYLE BRIOCHE BUNS (sold at Costco) bears an ink-jetted symbol similar to an OU next to the Best If Used By date. This product is in fact OU certified (and Pas Yisroel - glow-plug method).
July 28, 2023 From the OU: It is indeed OU certified. As per OU policy, this is NOT Pas Yisroel, though there are other agencies that do indeed consider this Pas Yisroel.

STAR-K recommends checking ALL figs, even those bearing a reliable certification.
TO PROPERLY CHECK FIGS: open each fig and carefully inspect the interior for any insects like wasps, beetles or worms. If any are found, discard the entire fruit.
July 28, 2023 from the Star-K:
Packages of Sunny Fruit Organic Figs, commonly sold at Costco, bearing a STAR-K symbol, have been found to have a high rate of infestation. Corrective action is being taken.
STAR-K recommends checking all figs, even those bearing a reliable certification.
TO PROPERLY CHECK FIGS: open each fig and carefully inspect the interior for any insects like wasps, beetles or worms. If any are found, discard the entire fruit.
