Jolly Rancher, The Hershey Company: Not all Jolly Rancher products are kosher. Jolly Rancher Bites - soft chewy candy are kosher when bearing an OU after the ingredient panel. Jolly Rancher Bites – filled gummies are not kosher and do not bear the OU. Consumers must always check for the presence of a kosher symbol on a package, especially with brands that include kosher and non-kosher varieties.

Pop Crazy 3 Piece Seasoning Pack, Focus Products Group International, LLC Lincolnshire, IL: The Orthodox Union certifies various Pop Crazy seasonings. Some seasonings contain dairy and are certified OU-D, and others do not contain dairy and are certified OU pareve. Pop Crazy 3 Piece Seasoning Pack contains both dairy and pareve seasonings and were mistakenly labeled with a plain OU Symbol. The Buffalo Seasoning and Ranch Seasoning are OU-D and contain dairy, as indicated in the ingredients and allergens statements. The Caramel Seasoning is certified as OU pareve. Corrective measures have been implemented.

"We have received reports that many of the cooktops on these ranges have a 12 hour shutoff, and will not stay on throughout YomTov. We recommend that you test your range before YomTov to see if it has this shutoff."

Lakewood Organic Fresh Pressed GMO Free Pure Apple Cold Pressed Not from Concentrate Juice Fruit 32 FL OZ (1 QT) 946 mL Lakewood Miami, FL 33127 has been voluntarily recalled because it was found to have levels of inorganic arsenic that exceeds FDA levels of concern limits. This prooduct was distributed in CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IN, MO, NH, NY, PA, TX, and WA.

The following peanut allergy alert is from the FDA on October 1, 2014.

Tropical Valley Foods Inc., Plattsburgh, NY, is recalling 455 cases (12 bags per case) of next by Nature DARK CHOCOLATE CHERRIES, Lot 460013, due to the potential for undeclared peanuts to be packaged in the product.
The affected next by Nature DARK CHOCOLATE CHERRIES was sold to distributors and retailers located in Iowa, California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Canada and Japan. Distributors where instructed to inform their customers of the recall of the product, to immediately remove it from sale and to promptly discard it.
The affected product is packaged in 3 oz. plastic bags with UPC 817582252006, Lot 460013 and “Best by Date” of 2016.03.31. The product was distributed between September 12th, 2014 and September 25th, 2014.
The recall was initiated after an employee found a peanut piece in a bulk case of Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries that was being packaged into the 3 oz. bags. Subsequent investigation by the firm revealed that some Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries had been packaged into 3 oz. bags of next by Nature DARK CHOCOLATE CHERRIES prior to the discovery.
Consumers who are allergic to peanuts are urged not to consume the above product. Customers who purchased the affected product may return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. The following are corrections and additions to the Preliminary Guide to Chodosh for 5775
NOTE IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR QUAKER OATS CEREALS BELOW.

Section 4.1 Cakes, cookies and crackers
- Streits matzo and matzo product are Yoshon under the hashgocho of the Kof-K and Rabbi Moshe Soloveichik.
Section 5.1 Regular noodles
- Streits noodles are Yoshon under the hashgocho of the Kof-K and Rabbi Moshe Soloveichik.
Section 5.2 Chow mein noodles
- Streits chow mein noodles are Yoshon under the hashgocho of the Kof-K and Rabbi Moshe Soloveichik.
Section 8.1 Breakfast cereals
- Quaker oats cereals manufactured in the USA have a Chodosh PACKING date of October 1. (For Quaker Quick Oats, Oatmeal, Instant Oats and other hot oats cereals that are cooked, the package date is March 24 16-540 days after packing.) For items manufactured in Canada and sold in the USA, the Chodosh PACKING date is Aug 27 (package date for hot cereals is Feb. 18 16.)
- Paskesz cereals with a Yoshon label are Yoshon under the hashgocho of the O-U. For those without a Yoshon label, no information known yet.
Section 9.1 Frozen and other packaged products
- Mechel’s Fine Frozen Pastry Yoshon under the hashgochos of the CRC, Star-K and the Vaad Hakashrus of New Square.
Section 13.5 Chicago

Tel Aviv Bakery is Yoshon under the hashgocho of the O-U.

SUNFLOWER BREAD produced by New York Bread, Inc., (2201 Neptune Avenue, Brooklyn, NY) between the dates of 9/17/2014 through 9/30/2014 is being recalled. This product is not kosher, even when bearing the OK kosher symbol on the packaging.
