The following slurpee information is from COR Detroit on July 17, 2014.

SLURPEE FLAVOR CARDS on slurpee machines at 7-Eleven stores bear an OU symbol on some varieties. Please be advised that while the OU certifies many Coca-Cola and Fanta brand varieties of frozen beverage syrups, this certification applies only to the original box of syrup manufactured by Coca-Cola. The OU does not provide store level supervision to guarantee that a store is using certified syrup for the slurpee products that bear these flavor cards. Stores sometimes use syrups that do not correspond with the brand and variety posted on the machine.
At non-supervised stores, the COR recommends that the consumer verify, with the manager’s permission, that the box of syrup in the back which feeds the slurpee machine is a Kosher brand and variety, and also whether a non-Kosher or dairy flavor was used very recently in this same spigot, in which case there may still be a mixture in the barrel. (Stores generally do not clean the machine between flavors.)

The following information is from the OU in response to a reader's question on January 21, 2014.

"The Finish Jet Dry Rinse Agent (these exact words), is certified kosher even when not bearing the OU symbol.
It is generally assumed that dishwashing detergents are not edible entities, and Halachically they do not have a non-kosher status even if they contain non-kosher ingredients, as is often the case. Nonetheless, some Poskim maintain that it has been the established Minhag Yisrael (Jewish custom) to use kosher detergents on plates, pots and utensils as they come in contact with food. An OU on a detergent insures the kosher status of that product. That said, if one used non-certified dishwashing detergent, Bidieved (after the fact), the kosher status of the utensils would not be compromised."

The following information is from OU on December 19, 2013.

The OU is now certifying quinoa, the grain-like seed grown in South America, is Kosher for Passover when processed with special OU Passover supervision and bearing the OU-P symbol.
Following extensive research and on-site investigation of cross-contamination issues by OU Kosher personnel at all quinoa growing areas including: Puno, Cuzco, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Junin and Chiclayo in Peru; and Alto la Paz and Chayapata in Bolivia; as well as the collection, washing and milling stations of quinoa, OU Kosher is pleased to announce that, for the first time, it is recommending quinoa for Passover, when processed with special OU Passover supervision and bearing the OU-P symbol.
In addition to quinoa, OU Kosher has concluded that related canihua, kiwicha and maca seeds processed under supervised conditions may also be approved for Passover (OU-P)."
