MALKA'S VEGETARIAN KISHKE from Michele

ingredients
10 - 12 servings
preheat oven to 350° F.
  1. 2-3 carrots, grated
  2. 1 lg. onion, grated
  3. 1 tsp. pepper
  4. 1 clove garlic, minced
  5. 1 tsp. paprika
  6. 1/2 tsp. ground sage.
  7. 1 chicken bullion cube,broken up or 4 tsp. pareve chicken soup powder (can use less to cut down salt)
  8. 1 cup flour (3/4 c.cake meal for Pesach)
  9. 1 cup matza meal
  10. 1 egg or 1/4 c. egg substitute
  11. 1/4 cup oil

    directions

    1. Combine 1-9 in a bowl; mix well.
    2. Add 10 & 11; mix well.
    3. Shape into long "snake".
    4. Wrap in greased foil and place on baking sheet.
    5. Bake 45 min.
