The following South African kashrus alert is from the Beth Din of Johannesburg on June 25, 2010.

Please be aware that Woolworths calamari, prawns and possibly other seafoods have erroneously been labelled with a Beth Din kosher logo. These product are not kosher and Woolworths have removed them from their stores.The following products erroneously bear a Beth Din Hechsher, and are not kosher.

The following kashrus notice is from the Diamond K on November 8, 2009 and reissued on June 25, 2010.

The recently redesigned TUMS label inadvertently omits the "DIAMOND-K" Kosher symbol from its packaging. The Company has taken steps to have the Kosher designation placed back on its label. However, it may take several months until all existing packaging is depleted. All products which appear on the Letter of Kosher Certification remain Kosher Certified whether or not the "DIAMOND-K" symbol appears on the label.

The following kashrus alert is from the COR on June 25, 2010.

Please note: Pasta Quistini products are kosher certified only when bearing special COR hologram stickers, which indicate a specific kosher supervised production. Any Pasta Quistini product which bears a pre-printed COR symbol is not certified kosher. Kindly contact our office at 416.635.9550 if you should find any unauthorized Pasta Quistini product bearing a pre-printed COR symbol on the packaging.

The following kashrus advisory is from the Rabbinical Council of California on June 25, 2010.

Seaweed used as a warp for Sushi can be infested with tiny sea horses. Please be advised that only seaweed with numbered RCC label OR "United Kosher Food" label is supervised by the RCC. The appearance of “RCC” on any other packaging or label, is inadvertent or fraudulent.

The following kashrus alert is from the Star-K on June 21, 2010.
All New Harvest Naturals Gluten-Free Products (i.e. muffins, pound cakes and chicken meatballs) sold by Abe's Place Gourmet Delicacies (www.newharvestnaturals.com) are being misrepresented as STAR-K certified. The STAR-K has no affiliation with Abe’s Place Gourmet Delicacy and does not certify any of its products.

The following kashrus alert is from the OU with additional information from the Star-K and posted on June 1, 2010.

New Harvest Naturals Gluten Free Pound Cakes, Abe's Place Gourmet Delicacies - Allentown, PA: Products previously certified by the OU are no longer certified by the OU. Products in packages that bear the OU certification symbol were produced under supervision and may be used.

The following Israeli kashrus alert is from the Israeli Chief Rabbinicate and Jerusalem Kosher News and the OK posted on June 24, 2010.

Ben-David Winery based in Moshav Sdei Eliezer is using the OK kashrut symbol on bottles of wine without authorization. This appears on bottles of Merlot 2008, dry red wine. The label states OK-P (Kosher for Passover) but in actuality, the wine has a regular non-mehadrin supervision and is the product of heter mechira grapes.

The following kashrus alert is from Kosherquest.org and the Kosher LA posted on June 24, 2010.

There has been a printing error with the labeling of the packaged Coffee Bean Challot which are sold in plastic bags. The label mistakenly states both "Pareve" and "Kosher LA-D". It is being remedied immediately and the Challot remain Kosher LA - Parve.

The following kashrus alert is from the Kof-K on June 24, 2010.

Main Street Gourmet Cookies baked and sold exclusively at Breugers Bagel Bakeries have inadvertently been labeled with the Kof-K Dairy symbol. These cookies are not Kof-K certified. Corrective action is being taken.

America's Choice Berry Blend - UPC: 7 54807-10063, A & P, Montvale NJ: This product mistakenly bears an unauthorized OU symbol. The product is being withdrawn from the marketplace.

The following kashrus alert is from the Israeli Chief Rabbinicate and Jerusalem Kosher News on June 18, 2010.

The following alert was sent out by the Israeli Chief Rabbinate and translated by Jerusalem Kosher News:
"Thousands Island Salad Dressing (Barcode 036294105022) The product has been imported, distributed by the E. D. Smith Company (Pennsylvania, USA) and imported by Mor Yam Marketing LTD, marked "kosher parve - OU) and with import approval of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.
The product's original label states "OU-d (dairy) while the importer's Hebrew label says OU, not indicating the dairy classification! The Chief Rabbinate Import Division has not authorized the item as the importer label claims. Stores are instructed to remove the item from shelves. (Item 3 in the original Hebrew document, left side).

The following correction to the above alert is from the OU on June 20, 2010.
Green Goddess Thousand Island Dressing produced by E.D. Foods is certified OU Pareve even when bearing the OUD symbol on the label.
