The following products under the Roundy's label were only labeled with the cRc, mistakenly omitting the “D” Dairy designation. Corrective measures are being taken. All of the varieties listed below are cRc dairy (cholov stam)

Due to new information received from the company, McCoys Salt & Malt Vinegar Crisps, listed on p. 48 of The Really Jewish Food Guide 2009 as approved and Parev, are now Not Kosher.

Effective immediately, corn tortillas manufactured by Walsroder Packaging Group, a.k.a. Bayer of Willowbrook, IL, are no longer certified by the cRc even when bearing the cRc on the label.

  • The following revised South African kashrus alert is from the UOS on May 6, 2009 .

    Lays Sweet & Spicy Chutney Flavour bears an unauthorised Beth Din logo. This product is not approved. Simba have apologised for their error and have removed the logo from new packaging with immediate effect. They will also recall existing stock where possible.

    The cRc has verified that the only store in Ben Gurion Airport that has properly sold his chometz as well as not selling any chometz over Pesach is the James Richardson Store at Gate D7.

    The following health alert is from the FDA on April 30, 2009 .

    Klein’s Naturals, Brooklyn, NY, is voluntarily recalling various pistachio products as a precautionary measure because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. This recall action is being taken due to the expanded recall activities for the 2008 crop of In-Shell Pistachios distributed by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. in Terra Bella, California. The recalled products were distributed nationwide through retail stores and wholesale customers. Specific product information, including Item Number, Pack Size, Packaging Type, and code information can be found in detail on the chart below.
