These certified products are bearing an unauthorized ‘P’ designation on their individual labels and are not certified for Passover use. Corrective action has been taken.

The following Passover pet food alerta are from the Chicago Rabbinical Council on March 31, 2008.

Some of the following Evanger’s products may have “Brewers Dried Yeast” listed on the ingredient panel. These products should not be used on Passover even when [incorrectly] bearing “Kosher for Passover” on the label):

With Passover coming up shortly BCK would like to inform the public to be aware that it is common practice among salmon manufactures to dip raw salmon in a corn starch or corn syrup bath before freezing. This is especially important for those careful not to consume kitniyos on Passover. Please verify that the fish you are purchasing has not been treated as mentioned and is certified kosher for Passover.

The following products were omitted from the Orthodox Union’s Guide to Passover (2008 edition). These products are acceptable for Passover use and do not require a ‘P’ designation:

  • Ellis Decaffeinated Coffee (Unflavored) distributed by Ellis Coffee Company- Philadelphia, PA

The following Passover alert for is from Empire on January 11, 2008.

Empire Chicken Breast Nuggets and Breaded Chicken Tenders in 2 lb. and 3 lb. bags, were mistakenly labeled as being KAJ-KP (Passover) between August 16 and October 2007. This product contains bread crumbs and is not kosher for Passover. Empire has made a supreme effort to remove all mislabeled products from store shelves. Empire does not make Kosher for Passover Chicken Nuggets.

Raysheet Chianti (2004), Raysheet Rosso di Toscana (2004, 2005), Bianco di Toscana (2005), Rosso Relativo Toscana (2005), Nobile Prima- Empoli, Italy: These wine products bear an unauthorized OU-P symbol (unless affixed with an OU holograph sticker) and are being withdrawn from the marketplace. The following Passover alert is from the MK postins a letter from the Kashruth Commission of Casablanca dated March 27, 2007 .

The Kashruth Commision Of Casablanca would like to advise the public that _truffles_ are being sold which fraudulently bear the word kosher on their boxes. These truffles are not under their supervision and ARE NOT KOSHER FOR PASSOVER.
