The following Passover message is from the OU on March 29, 2007.

Due to an error, several prenatal vitamins were mistakenly included on the OU Passover website and Webbe Rebbe emails as not containing any chometz. In fact, the OU has no information about the following Prenatal Vitamins with regard to their Passover status:

  • Novanatal Prenatal Vitamin and Mineral
  • Nestabs FA Prenatal Vitamin and Mineral

  • Manischewitz has both KFP and non-KFP wines in identical bottles. Be sure to check the label.
  • Various gefilte fish loaves come in both Passover and non-Passover varieties.

Listerine Mouthwash [All flavors USA and Canada] do not contain a chometz alcohol. They use a strictly corn based alcohol.

The following Passover alert is from the OU n March 26, 2007 .

Tibuli Spices and Seasoning, Tibuli, Inc., Miami FLL Product bears a Kosher for Passover sticker. This product is certified by the Orthodox Union for year round use. The Orthodox Union does not stand behind the Kosher for Passover status as some varieties contain kitniyos.

The following Passover notice is from the OK n March 26, 2007 .

Plese be advised that the following products produced by Klein/s Naturals have been mislabeled.

  • Freshly Roasted - Salted Macademia Nuts
  • Freshly Roasted - Salted Mixed Nuts
  • Freshly Roasted - Unsalted Mixed Nuts
  • Freshly Roasted - Unsalted Almonds
The ingredient panel erroneously stats that the product contains Canola Oil, but in fact the product contains Kosher for Passover Cottonseed Oil. The product is certified OK-P(Kosher for Passover), when bearing the OK-P symbol. Labels are being corrected.

The following Passover and kashrus alert was found by the editor and confirmed with the Vaad of Rhode Island and posted on March 21, 2007 .

Kashrus and Passover alert concerning an Eastside Marketplace in Providence, RI ad in the Kashrus Magazine, May 2007 Passover issue.
Only the meat department on Thursdays from 10AM to 2PM is certified as kosher by the Vaad of RI. The "Traditional Jewish Style Foods" from their Deli are not certified as kosher.

Jevity clarification: Jevity 1 Cal is chometz free. However, Jevity 1.2 Cal)formerly known as Jevity Plus) and Jeviry 1.5 Cal contain chometz (oat fiber). Anyone who requires the cometz products on Pesach should consult with his Rav and doctor.

All varieties of Dial Bar soap are chometz free
All varieties of Rite Guard Antiperspirant/deoderant are chometz free
All varieties of Soft & Dri Antiperspirant/deoderant are chometz free

Listerine Pocket Paks and Pocket mist are NOT recommended for Passover. Pocket Mist is not recommended even during the year

Ensure Regular, Light & Plus area cceptable. Ensure Pudding contains Kitniyos. Ensure with fiber contains chometz.

The following Passover alert in response to a number of questions is from the JSOR and posted on March 21, 2007 .

Tofu is not acceptable for Passover. These products are made through extraction methods that use grain alcohol in the processing of the soybeans.
