The Albert Uster Zurimix brand Marshmallow Mix, lot # 3128.3, bears an unauthorized Star-K and is not Kosher. It contains a non-Kosher ingredient that had been inadvertently labeled with a Kosher symbol from a different Kashrus agency. The product has been recalled.

General Mills announced today a voluntary Class I recall of a small quantity of single-serve reduced-sugar Cinnamon Toast Crunch bowlpak sold in foodservice establishments.
This action is being taken as a precaution because the company was notified by an ingredient supplier that it had recalled an ingredient due to the possible presence of salmonella.
The recall affects approximately 168 cases of product. No other varieties or sizes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch are involved. No other General Mills products are impacted. This voluntary recall includes single-serve reduced-sugar Cinnamon Toast Crunch bowlpaks with the following “Better if Used By” dates printed on the package:

The following health alert is from the FDA on May 30, 2013..
FRUIT TREASURE of CHULA VISTA, CA is recalling 43 boxes (25lb) of fresh THAI PEPPERS, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled fresh Thai peppers were distributed on April 7, 2013 to April 10, 2013 to retail markets in California. The product comes in a 25lb white wax box with a logo that says “JAMMIN PEPPERS”. Consumers who have purchased 25lb boxes of Thai peppers are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-619-365-7110 between 8am and 6pm PST.
The following revised health alert is from the FDA a on April 29, 2013 with additional information on May 9, 2013..
Krinos Foods, LLC. of Long Island City, New York is voluntarily recalling its TAHINI sesame paste, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The TAHINI sesame paste product is sold in 1 LB glass jars, 2 LB glass jars and in 40 LB plastic pails. The UPC codes for the following products: 1 LB jar is 0-75013-28500-3, 2 LB jar is 0-75013-28510-2 and 40 LB pail 0-75013-04018-3. The recalled lots have a code stamped on the lid between "EXP JAN 01 – 2014 up to and including EXP JUN 08 – 2014" and "EXP OCT 16 – 2014" up to and including “EXP MAR 15 – 2015"
The potential for contamination was noted after the Michigan Department of Agriculture conducted routine testing on a sample of the product in a retail store and advised Krinos of the positive test results. Krinos has ceased distribution of the product as FDA, the Michigan Department of Agriculture, and the company, continue their investigation as to what caused the problem.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled product are urged to discard the product and return the gold cap stamped with the following dates: “EXP JAN 01 – 2014 up to and including EXP JUN 08 – 2014" and EXP OCT 16 – 2014" up to and including “"EXP MAR 15 – 2015. Provide proof of purchase for a full refund to:

Diamond Crystal House Blend Caesar Dressing, Diamond Crystal, Savannah GA, a food service product, is not certified by the Orthodox Union. The individual packages do not have an OU on them. Some of the cartons used to ship this product mistakenly have an OU on them. The cartons have been corrected.
