GreenGate Freash Vegetables Bear An Unauthorized Use of 'Three Line K' Certification

August 13, 2026 from Kashrus Magazine:

"GreenGate Fresh LLLP (Salinas and Yuma CA), distributors of a wide variety of leafy vegetables, have posted on their website a forged letter of certification from Rabbi Yisroel Kelemer, z"l, the former Rabbinic Administrator for the Three Line "K" Kosher Certification until his passing on November 5, 2021. The 'letter of certification' on the company's website displays a signature of the rabbi and is dated November 1, 2022 (a full year after his passing) and attests that the products have his kosher certification through October 2023. All GreenGate Fresh products still bear the Three Line "K" symbol. We have been informed by a member of Rabbi Kelemer’s family that no one is continuing the Three Line "K" kosher certification. Given the supplier’s use of an outdated certificate from a supervising authority that does not appear to be in existence at this time, we cannot accept these vegetables as kosher."
