Kashrut alert: Ambrosia & Neostar Brands of Fruit Cocktail

September 28, 2026 from Star-K

Cans of Ambrosia-branded Fruit Cocktail, distributed by Schreiber Foods International Inc., and Neostar-branded Fruit Cocktail, distributed by Neostar USA LLC – both products of China and packed in large foodservice #10 cans – bear an unauthorized STAR-K symbol. They contain cherries colored with carmine, as listed on the ingredient labels. Carmine is derived from a non-kosher insect. Corrective action is being taken.
