The following Chometz Sheavar Alav Hapesach information is from the Kosherquest dated May 1, 2006.
Chometz sold at Ben Gurion Airport often are Chometz Sheavar Alav Hapesach and should not be used. In particular liquors remain a problem for long after Pesach.
THE FOLLOWING ESTABLISHMENTS ARE FINE TO BUY FROM AFTER PESACH: Costco, K-Mart, Rite-Aid, Safeway, Sam’s, Target, Trader Joe’s, Walgreens, Walmart, 7-11, Coffee Bean, Whole Foods, Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons/Pavillions, Sav-On, Jons, Gelsons, Cambridge Farms, Smart & Final.
All stores under a reliable Hechscher i.e. RCC, Heart K etc. had their Chometz sold for Pesach.
A franchise such as Baskin Robbins or Carvel needs to be checked store by store for the Chometz items such as the wheat cones to make sure that it is not Jewish owned.
