Consumer Kashrut Alerts

The following kashrus alert for travelers is from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate on June 19, 2007 and a summary appears on Koshertoday.com.

Passengers requesting kosher on Iberia Airlines were served chicken from "Maspol" in Poland which ostensibly had the certification of the Chief Rabbinate of Johannesburg and distributed by Nussbaum Kosher Meats. The investigation showed that no kosher certification was given to any Polish meats since December '05 by the Chief Rabbinate of Johannesburg.
