The following Israelli kashrus alert is from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate and TheYeshivaWorld.com posted on November 24, 2015.
The Israeli Chief Rabbinate publishes an annual list of fraudulent olive oils which is linked to here.
They suggest to buy at reputable locations and be suspicious of olive oil that is too cheap. In Israel they have found: "Olive oil is too often not authentic as advertised as unscrupulous individuals can use other less expensive oils, emulsifiers and artificial flavorings and colorings to produce what smells, appears and even tastes like olive oil at far less the cost than the real thing."
