Kashrus Alert Cedars, Josephs, Hannah products containing parsley

April 26, 2018 from the Rabbinical Council of New England:
For many years, KVH kosher has worked with various companies to monitor and control infestation in fresh parsley. Due to increased levels of infestation., it was mutually determined that the responsible course of action would be to remove certification from all products containing fresh parsley.

This affects salads under the following brands:

• Cedar’s
• Delicatessen Quality
• Hannah
• Jansal Valley
• Joseph’s
• Lidl
• Little Salad Bar
• Southcoast Farms
• Taste of inspirations
• Yorgo’s
• Wellsley Farms

Including the following varieties:

• Black Bean Salad
• Couscous Salad
• Couscous with Raisins (Disco)
• Falafel Mix
• Israeli Couscous Salad
• Kale Freekah
• Lentil Salad
• Mediterranean Lentil Salad
• Orzo Curry Salad
• Taboule
• Taboule Salad
• Wheatberry Salad
• Black Bean Salad

These products are no longer under KVH certification and will not bear the KVH symbol.
Other Cedar’s products remain under KVH certification and meet the highest standards of Kashrus.
