Kashrus Alert for Dragon Fruit; Reminder to Check for Insects in Rosh Hashana Foods

King Soopers is selling dragon fruit from Israel, this produce requires the separation of terumos and ma’asros. Note: the separation of terumos and ma’asros may not be done on Shabbos or Yom Tov. For guidelines for the separation of terumos and ma’asros, click here.
Ed note: Check all fruits for country of origin. ie. Dragon Fruits are also availabel from the US.

On Rosh Hashana we have a custom is to eat various foods as we pray for a good year. Please be reminded that many of the foods require inspection to assure that they are free of insects. Click here
