August 4, 2020: from Mrs. Rosskamm, The Guide to Chodosh, Hot Line 718-305-5133. Email: yherman20@gmail.com:
The final Chodosh cut off date for oats is July 24th, with a purchase date of August 5th. Dates for individual products using oats should be available in about a week. Note that Oats used in Post and General Mills cereals will be Yoshon through at least September.
The wheat and barley harvest have just begun. No cut off dates are available yet. We expect to have dates in about a week, but that is dependent on many outside factors such as the weather on the plantations.
From Yoshon.com: "If you have the shelf life for your oat product, you can come to this site: Date Calculator. Just add the shelf life of your item to the July 24, 2020 cutoff date, and you will get your product's chodosh cutoff date."
