"The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspected your produce processing facility located at 222 Forbes Ave., New Haven, CT 06512 from July 13, 2021 through July 29, 2021.''FDA laboratory analysis of the environmental swabs found the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
"Based on FDA’s inspectional findings and the analytical results for the environmental samples, we have determined the RTE fresh-cut produce (e.g., onions, peppers, celery, broccoli, cantaloupe, watermelon, and kiwi) processed in your facility is adulterated within the meaning of section 402(a)(4) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) [21 U.S.C. § 342(a)(4)] in that it was prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth or rendered injurious to health."
