South African Kosher Updates & Notices March 2022

- NEW PRODUCTS
- Gero Low Fat Strawberry yoghurt is certified Dairy with or without the BD hechsher.
- The Bakery rolls from Checkers are certified with a BD hechsher.
- Deli Delight - Basil Pesto, The Spread is now certified Parev with a BD hechsher
- Woolworths Dairy Free Cheddar Flavoured Slices with olives are certified with the BD hechsher.
- The following Pick n Pay Sugar free soft drinks are certified: Tonic Water Ginger Beer Cola Lemonade ***All products bear the BD Hechsher except the Lemonade which will be added soon.
- KOSHER STATUS UPDATES
Woolworths Choobes are certified dairy but the BD hechsher has been left off packaging
- The following Pick n Pay Iced Tea Concentrates are certified with or without the BD hechsher: Apple Cranberry Lemon Peach
- Some boxes of Weetbix do not have a hechser on but they are all certified
- KOSHER NOTICES
- Clover Tangy Mayonnaise has changed from Parev to Dairy as is indicated on the label. This is due to a slight formulation change. Please treat it as Dairy going forward.
- Honeyfields Easy Melt chocolate is NOT certified and bears the unauthorised use of our logo. Action is being taken to ensure the company removes this logo.
- Please ensure you check for certification, when ordering or buying products and or meals. Especially when using various food delivery Apps. Some establishments are categorised as Kosher but are not certified by us. All certified establishments will display their Kosher certificate from us.

- Did you know that Spar have a range of nearly 200 kosher certified products.
- ***Due to their policy they do not put any religious branding on their packaging and thus none of their products will contain our hechsher***
