"This morning, it came to my attention that Brownstein’s Deli and Bakery Inc., located at 1862 Monroe Avenue Rochester, NY 14618 is actively claiming to be under the supervision of Rabbi Moshe Taub of the BVK. This is absolutely false! Brownstein’s has never been certified by BVK and Rabbi Moshe Taub has not been a staff member of the BVK for the past few years.

"Moreover, the Kosher certificate that Brownstein’s Deli is showing to prospective customers is not issued by BVK. The document being circulated was filed with the NY Department of Agriculture and Markets by the establishment without consulting the BVK. The BVK takes no responsibility for Brownstein’s and corrective measures are being taken."
