"More good news this month with confirmation from STAR-K as to what exactly makes soy sauce yoshon. For years, we had reported the l’chumra cutoff date of soy sauce as being five months after the general wheat date.
We are happy to report that not only is it the aging process that makes soy sauce not a problem, but it is also made from winter wheat, which of course is yoshon as-is.
"We have updated the entire Yoshon.com site accordingly‒all product entries, any articles mentioning soy sauce,
the General Chodosh Cutoff Date Sheet, and the TYNI Product Manual."
