• December, 2025 from UK information KF Kosher:
  • Permitted: Unflavord beer brewed by large national breweries may be used Not recommended/should be avoided:
    • Flavoured beer- these often contain complex ingredients and additives that require kosher supervision
    • Stout- these products may contain lactose and are considered dairy (cholov akum)
    • Beer from micro ro craft breweries- due to the possibility that non-kosher ingredients are used on equipment in these facilities. It should only be accepted if produced under reliable hashgachoh
• November 17, 2025: From the OU:
  KASHRUS ALERT: Starting Jan. 1, '26, the OU will require all beer served in OU-certified establishments or events to have reliable kosher certification, due to new brewing methods and additives. Many national brands remain acceptable, but all craft beers will now need a hechsher.

• November 20, 2025 from the London Beth Din:

  There is no change to KLBD advice that all unflavoured Beer purchased in the UK is approved Parev.

  For a list of beers which are KLBD certified or have been specifically checked click here.
  Specialist 'craft' beers are not covered by this guideline.
