OU Kashrus Advisory: Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt Stores

February 6, 2026: From the OU:

The Orthodox Union certifies many brands of ice creams and frozen yogurts sold in factory sealed containers. The Orthodox Union, however, does not currently certify any ice cream or frozen yogurt store or kiosk. Sometimes, stores or kiosks display an OU certification letter of a supplier. Such certificates do not indicate that the Orthodox Union certifies what the store or kiosk is selling.
