SHOPPING REMINDER: Check each item for the certification
The editor has heard reports that Passover certified cases of products have been coming into stores with non-certified products mixed in.
April 7, 2025 from the Dallas K: Dallas Kosher encourages all Pesach shoppers to please check each item for KFP certification even when the item is in a store area designated for Pesach products
April 7, 2025 from COR Detroit: The following products are available in both pesach and non-pesach versions. Some packages Without Pesach marking were for a brief time mistakenly placed in the Pesach section at the Grove. Check every label of your purchases for Pesach marking:
- B’gan Flounder Fillets
- Jona Gravlax-Spice Smoked Salmon
- Gefen Vanilla Pudding
- Lieber’s Apple Sauce
- Shwartz Honey
As advised by Rabbi Asher Eisenberger, at the time of bedikas chometz one person should be designated to go through the pantry, refrigerator, etc. to check that all products purchased for Pesach are in fact Kosher for Pesach and bear any required marking.

There is no kashrut supervision of the 'Kosher for Passover' section in supermarkets & errors do occur.
When purchasing Pesach products from any non-supervised shop
you're advised to check that all items bear a reliable Kosher l'Pesach hechsher & do not contain kitniyot.
