Kashrus Alert: Mislabeled Nafco Wholesale Seafood with a Kof-K

It has come to the Kof K attention that a small number of Bulk cases of shrimp, skinless flounder, skinless cod, and skinless yellowtail, distributed on the East Coast by Nafco Wholesale Seafood, were mislabeled with a Kof-K and shipped to Giant Food Stores Supermarket distribution centers. Currently the only Nafco product held by Giant Food Stores Supermarket certified by the Kof-K is salmon. The issue has been corrected, but any outstanding product bearing the Kof-K should not be used as kosher. This does not affect any retail items distributed by Nafco.
