The following Israeli Passover alert is from Kashrus Magazine on March 26, 2006.

Vita Onion Soup (Vita-Pri Hagalil, Ltd. of Israel) bearing the symbol of the Chug Chsam Sofer-Petach Tikvah and the Rabbinate of Kiryat Malachi bears the claim to be Kosher L'Mehadrin "Special Production-Kosher For Passover, With No Concern For Kitniyot". In fact, the product is mislabeled as Kosher For Passover since non-Passover ingredients were used in the product. (This is the only Vita product effected.) An attempt to remove all product from the shelves may not be successful.

The following Passover notice was is from the Beth Din of Crown Heights on March 22, 2006.

Rolls of Gefilte Fish under the name Raskin's Fish carry an unauthorized Kosher for Passover under the CHK. Please be advised, that these rolls of gefilte fish are not under the CHK's supervision and they do not have responsibility for their kashrus.
Ed. note: These product are under the supervision of OK Kosher Certification and Rabbi Binyumin Gruber, and where specified on the label are kosher for Passover.

The following Passover alert was from a reader and confirmed by the Beth Din of Crown Heights on March 22, 2006.

"Tasty Tuna in Oil and Tasty Tuna in oil, hot and spicy carries an unauthorized label, "Kosher for Passover" under the CHK. Please be advised, this item is NOT Kosher for Passover under the CHK. This alert does not apply to Tun in Water under the name Tasty Tuna which is kosher for year-round use including Passover.

The following Passover notice is from the Kosherquest.org on March 21, 2006.

K-P Beaver brand Hot Prepared Horseradish* in 4oz. Bottles, red or white, when bearing code W052 with plain K-P sprayjetted in black ink near top of the glass bottles are reliably certified for Pesach by the Heart K.

The following Passover alert is from the OU on March 13, 2006.

Osem Bamba Snacks, Osem Food Industries, Tel Aviv, Israel: This certified product bears an unauthorized OU-P symbol and is not certified for Passover use. Consumers spotting this product are requested to contact the Orthodox Union at 212-613-8148 or via email at kashalerts@ou.org .

The following Houston Passover alert is from the Houston Kashruth Association on March 12, 2006.

Kosher for Passover Meat in Houston: All kosher meat at both Belden's and Kroger's is kosher for Passover, regardless of when purchased. All pre-packaged kosher meat at Randall's (Meyer Park store) is also kosher for Passover, regardless of when purchased. Meat cut and processed in the Randall's (Meyer Park) butcher shop (typically has a pink HKA tag on it) is kosher for Passover when marked with an expiration date of 3/14/06 or later.

The following Passover alert is from the Chicago Rabbinical Council dated January 5, 2006 and confirmed by the OK.

Semi sweet chocolate chips sold at Food-4-Less under the FMV label bear an OKP. This designation is usually used to indicate "Kosher for Passover", but in this case it was mistakenly used to indicate "pareve". The product is indeed kosher pareve, but NOT Kosher for Passover.

The following Passover alert is from OU on April 19, 2005.

MEHADRIN SHMURAH MATZO BAKERY: Some Mehadrin Shmurah hand matzos from our bakery have been discovered to contain white specks of flour. Those matzos with white specks should not be used on pesach. Product can be returned to point of purchase for a full refund.

The following Passover alert is from OU on April 19, 2005.

Blooms 24 Pack Assorted Potato Chips, Bloom Packaging
Issue: Non Passover Onion & Garlic Potato Chips: Some cartons mistakenly contain non- Passover certified, (without an OU-P), Onion & Garlic Potato Chips. The other flavors in carton are certified for Passover. Spiced Onion Flavor Potato Chips are certified for Passover.
Note: Cartons of Assorted Fries & Stix are not affected
